I'm A Big Kid Now

Aria is going to be eight!!! I had the privilege of getting to do a shoot with her for some birthday picts. What a gorgeous girl she is! These are a few of my favorites. They will probably make her Momma cry!

Coloring

So I caught Abby coloring and thought it would be a fun scrapbook page to make. I had visions of bright red, blue, and yellow paper with elementary school crayons and little kid font. But Abby doesn't take 6 year old coloring photos. She looks at a camera and automatically turns into a 19 year old super model! I think this photo is beautiful, but ironic. Such a grown up expression, yet she has a crayon in her hand. I couldn't use the red, blue, and yellow elementary school theme I originally had in my head....she's too grown up. :-(

Inspire

It was FINALLY sunny today, so the kids decided they wanted to ride their bikes. Sunny = warm in their minds. Unfortunately...it was not warm. Either way, they dusted off their bikes and had a great time. I absolutely LOVED these pictures I was able to snap of Abby. She was "giddy" about getting to be outside.

Billy's First Birthday

Need to Pack

The most stressful part about a dance competition???.....PACKING. I am always TERRIFIED I will forget something. This year the dance studio was nice enough to give us a packing checklist. Perfect for my Type A personality! After checking (and re-checking) to make sure I had everything, I snapped this photo before we packed it all up and headed to the first competition of the year in Tulsa, OK.

TPAS Kick Off Party

This is the second year Abby gets to dance with Chloe at TPAS. They are such cuties! They love to be girly and silly. But when it competition time, they get their "game face" on!


Journaling: "Since August the girls have been practicing non-stop for the 2010 competition season. Every year before the first competition, there is a “kick-off” celebration. Abby got to meet her ‘big sis,’ Taylor who gave her a goodie bag of root beer, Goldfish, and pink fingernail polish. This year was a little rough, for Abby. She had given up all desserts for 40 days as part of a “fast” for church. She had a tough time watching all her friends eat cupcakes. But I was proud of her. As soon as I told her she could break into her Goldfish, she was a happy camper again. Lots of craziness with all of the sugar highs, but tons of fun with her girlfriends and a great time to relax before heading off into competition. Best of luck 2009-2010 TPAS Dance competition team."
